How to Get Info on your Mac and find the Model Identifier

1. Select the Apple Menu in the top-left corner of the screen. Click About This Mac.
2. In the About This Mac dialog, note the version of OS, processor, and RAM. Click More Info.
3. Note the Mac's manufacture date (eg. "Late 2011"). Click System Report.
4. Note the Model Identifier (eg. "MacBookPro8,3") in the Hardware Overview.

How to Get Info on Pro Tools and find the version number

1. Right-click (or Control+left-click) on the Pro Tools icon in the Dock. Select Options > Show in Finder.
2. You should now see the Pro Tools icon in a new Finder window. Right-click (or Control+left-click) and select Get Info.
3. Note the Pro Tools Version number under "General."
